Table of Contents >> Blue is All Around... Fix It!
It happens quite often when you shoot video with the analog cameras or when you capture video from the old VHS tapes that the captured picture has mainly blue and purple colors.
Take a look at our example: we shot this video with an analog camera indoors. As you can see, the girl's face, make-up, hair and background are blue. It goes without saying, that the real colors were quite different. Let's try and correct it.

To get rid of cold blue and bring back the real warm colors we will use Temperature effect. The Temperature effect lets you adjust your video image to warm or cold colors. Negative values represent cold colors and positive values transform the video picture to warm colors correspondingly. It's a nice idea to warm the blue and purple in our example.
To begin editing video, start AVS Video Editor and open the input file in it. After that click the Edit button to open Edit Input File(s) window and follow the steps below:
1. At the effects toolbar click the Add button. Then select Adjust -> Temperature

2. Select the temperature level (in percentage). As we said before, we need the positive value, that's why we've tried 70% parameter.

The following result could be seen at the preview screen:

There can be no doubt that the output picture looks much better and is much closer to the reality than the input one. Compare the improved picture with the original:
